Honda Valkyrie.....The Best Cruiser Ever Built
Found this on YouTube and just had to embed it here.
The Honda Valkyrie: Bad to the Bone
As far as I am aware of, the Honda Valkyrie is the only motorcycle to ever be awarded the title of "Cruiser of the Decade" by a major motorcycle magazine.

SIZE IS EVERYTHING
Honda Launches World's Biggest Production Bike
Think that size doesn't matter?
Honda, the biggest bike maker in the world, disagrees. It's new, made-in-America, six-cylinder, 1520cc F6C is the largest mass production cruiser in the world. Based on the GoldWing, with a modded engine and chassis, the F6C is different from every other Harley clone cruiser. It looks like a Corvair engine stuffed into an old Indian Chief chassis. And yet, the biggest cruiser in the world is also a spirited motorcycle that handles, stops and goes even better than it looks...

Honda's 1,520cc Six-Banger
Valkyrie Mega-Cruiser
Whoever said that moderation is for wimps must have been talking about the new Honda Valkyrie. Instead of detuning an existing V-twin or V-four to better adapt it for the sedentary life in the belly of a traditionally styled custom cruiser, Honda not only began with the massive opposed-flat-six from it's Gold Wing, it went the other way. Then, after stirring in more mid-range and top-end power with a total of six carburators, hotter camshafts and freer-flowing exhaust, it gussied up the monster motor with new chrome covers and accents and hung it in an open custom chassis for all to see. All hail the "Power Cruiser"--in your face, tradition!

Cruiser of the Decade

Cruiser of the Decade
"In the end, the vote went to none of the above (A.C.E., Vulcan 1500, Road Star, Victorys, BMWs, Harleys). The Cruiser of the Decade was definately a cruiser, but it was also an entire original. Instead of bowing to convention, it broke away from the pack with something completely different and, in almost every way, better. The motorcycle we chose distinguished itself in almost every comparison we subjected it to during the last 5-years. It offered the eye-popping style and easy comfort of a cruiser, but did not neglect performance, handling or braking, and often set the benchmark. Although it is made in America, it does not limit itself to following American cruiser convention. That motorcycle, the Cruiser of the Decade, is the Honda Valkyrie."

awesome motorcycles, I just had to showcase

I've had an inkling that something is going on. It's funny but all the great detectives get the same thing, they call it a gut feeling, intuition and they all go with it....
Anyway, the old guts were grumbling at the prospect of a plot being hatched deep in Castle Honda, and it seems as though the reasons behind it are more dark and dastardly than we could ever imagine....

PERFORMANCE CRUISER CLASH
1997 Honda Valkyrie vs. Yahama V-Max
Lord Acton's words regarding political power have rung true for centuries, and they also have their application to motorcycling. For those weak of will, susceptible to suggestion, twitchy of wrist or with a slight maniacal bent, having a bike that will launch off the line like a top fueler and shred rear tires means, well, utilizing those capabilities. Often. And with a great grin inside the helmet. These are the motorcycles your mother warned you about...
